Bluetooth Unavailable and iPhone freezing

Gizmo71

Hi

Bluetooth on my iPhone XR is “unavailable” (I cannot turn it on/off)?

Checked it had latest OS and have tried restarting, hard restart, deleting network setting and restoring (from back up) but all to no avail.

It was fine until about a month ago, had issues then seemed to be ok, but has been like this again for a few weeks now and is extremely frustrating!

Haven’t tried restoring as a new iPhone but, as I have seen many others with the same issue online (and no apparent answer) am wondering if the phone is faulty and needs replacement?

It also freezes intermittently but not sure if this is connected?

Help please!....

@Gizmo71   You need to try a restoring the device as new via iTunes on a pc,  do not restore from a back up  set it up as new and test it.  If it’s all ok after this restore the device from your back up and test again.  If the issue comes back you will need to do the whole process again but don’t use the back up and you’ll need to set everything up from scratch. ( delete that back up ) Is the issue is still there after the first restore you’ll need to contact Apple about this.  You get a 12 month warranty with the device from new but if your outside this 12 month period you’ll have to pay.
