4g has stopped working at my home address whereas it was fine before.

Still have over 15gb of data left yet your service is not able to load a Web page in under 5 minutes. This is only the last two days that this has happened.

Hi @Ross1921

Welcome to the community

So long as you have data allowance remaining, the quantity of it will be immaterial. You've not mentioned whether you have any problems with voice calls or if you have signal displayed? It may be 2G or 3G coverage showing if there's a local fault with 4G.

You can check for network issues using the coverage & status checker - select "check network" to access the faults board.

In addition to the above, has the device in which the SIM is installed been rebooted a few times across a few hours to see the same broken behaviour?

Is the SIM in a mobile phone or a 4G router?

If in a mobile phone, are you able to download new Apps and update old ones or is this functionality also broken or very slow?

No my 4g is showing, everything looks okay but it can't load a Web page, I've even reset network but still nothing. Ive got 100gb of data due to WiFi being so poor and now 4g is down I have next to no Internet. Only these past few days which is what is confusing me.

It's as if it's running at 1mb or something, I tried to dl a 80mb download and it was taking 3 minutes

80 MB / (180 s) = 0.44 MB/s = 3.56 Mbps

0.44 MB/s = 3.56 Mbps is not quite good but also not awful.

1 MB/s = 8 Mbps would already be considered good on a mid-end phone.

Webpages should be quick on 4G though.

What are the latency/ping stats you see on fast.com and speedtest.net ? Presumably the bandwidths are bad if they complete at all?

Apparently I have 3 mbps and 60ms unloaded and 1.1 loaded whatever that means

3 Mbps is probably your measured download speed/bandwidth which I guess matches the above calculation.

60 ms unloaded is not great. It's basically sending a small packet/signal to a server and waiting to see how long before it gets the reply. On 4G I can see as low as 21 ms (milliseconds), 30 ms is good.

Your loaded latency of 1.1 s = 1100 ms is pretty bad. It should really be well below 600 ms

I usually find this is due to network congestion during a particular part of the day.

So is there any fix to this as there has never been an issue and now I literally cannot load a search on Google. Not really much point in having 4g if I'm not even able to use it 😞

So you're able to download a 80 MB file but cannot do a google search? Does a bing search return quickly? Does www.bbc.co.uk work?
