I pre-ordered the 2021 12.9" iPad Pro over a week ago and got an email yesterday saying "your order is on track" and "Your order is confirmed but we’re awaiting your expected delivery date.".
Anyone know whether it's getting delivered on Friday, which is the official release date? EE must know the delivery date given we're 2 days away from launch, right?
Thanks

Hi @suyashsrijan,
Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂
You'll receive a text message with tracking details before 8pm on the day before your delivery.
Thanks

Thank you, but that's not what I asked. I am interested in knowing what the delivery date is and whether it will be delivered this week (ideally on Friday which is the official release date for the iPad Pro according to Apple).

Hi @suyashsrijan,
Sorry, we can't provide a delivery date until stock arrives to fulfil your order. Orders will be dispatched on a first come, first serve basis.

Okay. I am surprised EE does not know when stock is going to arrive at their warehouse. I don't believe EE is given like few hours of notice that stock is going to arrive, they must know well in advance, especially when we're so close to the official release date.
Anyhow, I look forward to receiving my order.

@suyashsrijan , it will depend when you put your order in, as Apple are having delays in getting Liquid Retina XDR for IPad Pro 12.9, there is a shortage for that hardware, but if like me, you pre-ordered early, we should get it on the day. I have checked on Apple’s website, and orders are now being pushed back to June-July if ordering more recently, so hopefully we will get them on the day, but just keep a look out in My EE App, you can check the progress and update there under what’s new and track your order.
You will receive an email/text from DPD the evening before delivery and on the day another one with a one hour delivery time.

I ordered mine on May 7th, so a week after pre-orders opened. I don't know how many people bought one from EE (its an expensive device after all!) and how much stock they're receiving this month. I sold my 2018 iPad Pro 11" 64GB with Cellular as I was getting a really good amount of money for it, so I am hoping I get my iPad Pro 12.9" this week.

My experience with carriers is that they just claim they don't know the dates, but I find it really hard to believe. I honestly expect utmost transparency but they just keep beating around the bush. Like we're 2 days from official release and they don't know when or if they're getting stock? Maybe that's true, but they can simply and honestly tell us what exactly is happening behind the scenes w.r.t. stock. Like create a webpage that shows the latest update from their supplier for example (and whatever updates their supplier has got from Apple - the whole communication chain!). I just want a communications company like EE to be excellent at communicating up-to-date and accurate information to their customers, but they often fail at doing it, which ends up frustrating me a lot.
