This falls into exactly what I've been saying EE CS have no knowledge of warehouse stock rotations/allocations they just take orders end of then it's a order based system your order is sent after placing warehouse picks that up based on order time stamps then allocates available stock/DPD then involved if stock not available you'll be waiting for a bit for next wave available,I worked for logistics and that's how it's always been done.

I used to work for Sky as a Team Leader and we always were given rough stock numbers and rough time scales for orders.

The CS won't have warehouse stock inventory on their systems doesn't work like that there two separate systems if they are told a rough stock that's all they get quantity wise they won't know two different buildings departments my son in Ayrshire worked at Sky in the warehouse your order numbers are added to stock first come first served based until that stock is absorbed CS don't see amounts and it'll always say available unless warehouse updates CS.

They might be given a rough idea of stock levels, but that's literally all they'll have - it all falls down to how many actually come in to stock.

It's really not long now until people will start seeing movement if their orders are due for delivery Friday - some people might see movement today, but it's usually the Thursday things start happening.

Why Calling EE About Your iPhone Pre-Order is Pointless

From my experience, phoning EE after placing an iPhone pre-order is usually a waste of time. You’re almost guaranteed to hear one of the following lines (sometimes more than one in the same call):

  • “I’ve just spoken to the warehouse — they’ve got your phone in their hands, and you’re definitely on for launch day.”
  • “Apple wasn’t expecting this much demand, so they didn’t send us enough phones.”
  • “Our next shipment has been delayed.”
  • “One of the delivery trucks was hijacked.”
  • “EE didn’t place enough orders with Apple” (hard to believe from the UK’s biggest network with years of launch-day experience).
  • “Your phone will be coming next week.”
  • “There was an issue with our system.”
  • “The website crashed and didn’t record your order properly.”
  • “The previous advisor didn’t put your order through correctly.”
  • “DPD may have lost your parcel.”
  • “You’re our number one priority — first on the list for next week, I’ve spoken to the logistics manager.”
  • “We never guarantee launch day delivery.” (despite both the website and advisors promising exactly that to thousands of customers).

The reality is, none of these explanations actually speed things up or change your delivery date. The best thing you can do is ignore the noise, wait for the DPD notification, and save yourself the frustration of chasing EE advisors who are just trying to get you off the phone.

Absolutely 0 point ringing them, they have no clue and never have for years. DPD texts come the day before, never had them Wednesday.

If you’ve missed the pre order wave then they dispatch twice a week every week after, I remember it being Monday or Tuesday? Then Wednesday-Friday nothing and then back to Monday or Tuesday for each weekly batch.

I placed my order on Monday. They did say then that it would be delivered on launch day. Apparently the lady checked the stock and I have no reason to doubt her.

the order page shows nothing apart from pre order. But I know I won’t get mine on launch day. Live in the Highlands and Islands so DPD normally deliver like 3-4 days later.

I’ve done a bit of undercover work and it would appear that people who ordered from Sky Mobile are already starting to see DPD messages coming through

Update: Appeared to be a system glitch

On another note I had my return pack delivered already 😂😂 they’re quick this year as I normally only get it a few weeks after getting my phone.

Anyway I have checked DPD app ten thousand times already 😂😂😂
