some apple stores you can collect same day, strange that EE does not inform their customers the right thing, me personally had ordered twice (due to 1st didn’t went through) still no email confirmation, no tracking, no nothing, its been over a week now, tempted to cancel it

No they don’t
hence I decided I think what im gonna do from now on is trade in directly with Apple and switch to Sim only with EE. I had so many scuffs on the phone as well as scratches on tbe screen but staff didn’t care and gave me £600 off.
silver is readily available in London stores now but we are made to wait 28+ days just because it seems the biggest carrier in the UK is not that much of a priority to Apple. Same happens every year.

Cancelled my iPhone 17 pro max order silver with EE this morning, and have ordered with Apple to collect again my local store tomorrow! Just continued with a sim only plan with EE! Sick of waiting tbh 😂😂

My email to Tim Cook, it was successfully delivered but not sure I would ever receive a reply 🤣 …..
Dear Tim,
First of all, let me congratulate you. Not since the moon landing has there been a technological marvel quite like the launch of an iPhone that nobody can actually buy. Truly visionary.
I imagine the product brief must have been something along the lines of:
I queued digitally, emotionally, and spiritually. What I now own is not a phone, but a life lesson in patience. Some might call this “scarcity marketing.” I call it Apple’s version of intermittent fasting, starve the masses, then let them feast… eventually.
In fact, I’d like to suggest some names for future models to reflect this bold supply-chain strategy:
So thank you for redefining what “launch” really means. Rockets launch. Ships launch. iPhones? They peek around the curtain, wave once, and run away
P.S. If you ever release an iPhone that is actually in stock on day one, please let me know.

Honestly this thread. The same thing happens each year & will continue to do so because the apple sheep always fall for it & have to have the latest device NOW!! It'll come, there's stock constraints just have a bit of patience, jeezo

Consumers will be consumers.
The biggest issue is a lack of communication.
I refuse to believe that EE doesn’t know when stock will arrive, they would receive notification from Apple regarding stock issues and estimated timescales for restock, they just refuse to pass this on to the consumer and hide behind a blanket “more than 28 days”. Which literally just gives them freedom to do what they like, could be 29 days, could be 29 months, who knows?
The other issue is people who have ordered while timeframes were “within 14/28 days”, within being the key word. To be told only if you call and ask for some form of update “oh its over 28 days now you just need to wait”
This is just a tactic to force consumers to wait days upon days in hopes they don’t go elsewhere, as it “could be any day but could not, but might be soon but also might be a month, wait for a text which you may get or you may not who knows?”

You can refuse to believe but even the likes of staff at Apple stores themselves don’t know the specific stock they are getting in until it arrives. Apples website even doesn’t give a specific delivery day just currently stating 3-4 weeks or in some cases ‘28th Oct - 4th Nov’ which is basically the same. I doubt EE has any more info than Apple is giving themselves.

Got an email this morning - the same I received last week 😅 I understand that it’s difficult with stock but if they can stock out all Apple stores across the UK from same day - 7 day delivery, they most definitely can do it for other stores! My biggest mistake was updating my iPhone 14 with iOS26 because the battery drainage is REAL 🥲
“Great news! Your order is on track and your new iPhone 17 Pro Max 256GB Silver will be in your hands soon.
Your order is confirmed but we’re awaiting your expected delivery date. This is while we wait for delivery confirmation from the manufacturer. We’ll be in touch soon with an update on your order.”

EE said these were automated. When did you order?
11-10-2025 01:59 PM
19th 🥲 - yeah I realised they were automated after being up to date the thread! Seems like deliveries were going steady up until last week which is a shame so early on.
I’ll give it till 19th October next week, if I don’t get anything I’ll probably cancel.
