iPhone 17 Pro and Pro max Pre order Thread / that time of the year again.

Hello dear Ee community people, is that time of the year again, pre ordering the new iPhones and Apple Watch, as you all know the apple event is going on live right now and they are presenting the new iPhones and Apple Watches, I have made this thread so everyone can be updated on every single information for the upcoming days, so follow this thread and keep updated, I received a lot of views last year on my previous thread that was viewed more than 1.65000 views thank you for your support and love.

Yes. This! EE and other providers get an allocation from Apple (EE probably has one of the largest) then EE piece them out first come first served (according to support).  They don't physically have the pre-order devices on hand (apart from maybe a few that come to the store for demo and maybe internal) they most likely have a portal with apple where they can input customer details and it gets shipped out via DPD but from Apple essentially. I think, don't quote me, but this is what I learned when I pre-ordered the 15 PM a few years back.

The simplest answer I can share with you, is this: 

Ive been with EE since 2018. I have upgraded with them via pre-order for the last 4 years and in my opinion, at this point what EE tell you will hardly ever match up. The only time you will know when you will get delivery is when you get the text from DPD. You can call EE 5 times snd you will get 5 different answers. The last 2 years I have had my new device whilst EE tracking is still showing waiting on confirmation date for expected delivery date!

II have come to the conclusion that between calling them, doing a chat with them and checking ones tracking 10 times a day is pointless! Until DPD send that elusive text - no one knows when you’ll get delivery. As long as you have an order number that starts 00, you will get your order - at some point.

Seconding this - it’s the best and only advice I can offer as well. 

I will say, I’ve preordered every iPhone Pro Max on every preorder launch since the 11 Pro Max and received them all on the actual launch day because I always call up early and order really fast. The only exception was last year for my 16PM because the systems were down so I had to pre order the following day, and ended up waiting about 2/3 weeks after launch day for my phone to get delivered.

Ordered mine on the 15th non sim mobile - 17 pro orange 256gb. Dpd gave me an update  at 4am today that it has been dispatched and will most likely arrive tomorrow 😄

Is only having an xko number a bad sign then? I ordered online through the app on Friday 12th. I was on at 1pm, sat in a queue for 5 mins, put my order through and got an email with xko number at 1:18pm. It’s the only email I’ve had from EE. Tracking it tells me that the order is confirmed, then that it will be dispatched within 24 hours, then that it’s been dispatched. But it’s been like this since the beginning! Concerned that others are saying they’ve been given different tracking numbers. 

The app does say my Ultra 3 was dispatched today though, which is a brew update. No info from DPD about it yet.

I got the xko number too and it says it dispatched straight away when I ordered it. I hope the order has actually gone through. As I did receive a confirmation email

When DPD scan it into their network it will generate a new tracking code you’ll get this & your pin through text, email or just the app updating. Your EE tracking number won’t work on DPD
