I've been with EE for sim only plan for 4 months now,on EE app which was earlier showing me (I'd be eligible for upgrade on Dec 09) yesterday I added another device and plan(17 pro max) and paid the upfront £30. I recieved an email with my details of contract from EE and the payment is no longer pending. I wrote to an EE represantative in live chat and she sent me an order confirmation text on sim as well. Does it mean I am approved and I'd be delivered the device on or after 3 business days of the launch date!
Thanks

I have a completely different issue here tbh.
I upgrade the same way every year (anytime upgrade), and keep my old phone every year.
This usually means I get a ‘Non Return fee’ placed onto my bill, usually around October time.
Am I led to believe that it's different this year? Usually, the fee is circa £500, but this time the terms apparently state (according to the CS rep that sorted my Preorder) I’ll be charged ‘an early upgrade fee’ and any discounts I have (in this case F&F) will be removed from my current contract.
Surely that can't be right???
Can anyone shed light on this? Is it a fee as per previous years or something different now?
I tried asking my contact at EE today, but they're unsure themselves.
@Mistr_ZeN @marc00s @garetc - You guys also upgrade every year, you got any idea?
@Chris_B @XRaySpeX can either of you chime in? You're the forum masters after all lol

I did message live chat to ensure my order was fully confirmed and there was no issues and they did indeed confirm my order and said everything was fine but that delivery I can expect after 21 days? I’m bit confused tbh

When did you order? And what type of order number do you have? It is an xko, 00, or 02 order number?

Hey man, they said the exact same thing to me when I upgraded this year too.
I did think at the time that perhaps this was something that was made more explicit this year than previous years but then I’ve always returned my old phone each year but to answer the question the way I have understood it is exactly as you have described, a charge is applied if the device isn’t returned (whether it’s called early upgrade or non return sounded like semantics but I had the impression it would be £600) and any discounts on the bill removed.
Not sure if they’ve had a big problem with this in the past as it seems a bit of a harsh step to take.
