Hello Again.
After last years MONUMENTAL thread became the second most popular thread on the entire website, (Over 400k views & 6k replies) I thought I'd make another for this years iPhone release. 

Just like last year let's use this thread purely for Tracking Preorders and any related discussion around it.

Last year was a mess for EE, Let's hope things are different this year.

Another ghost order here, ordered within 10 minutes of going live and at the back of the queue now like many others.

Livid, customer services just now knew my order didn’t go through yet shamelessly used it as an opportunity to flog me EE broadband and other junk when “looking into it”

will be leaving EE at the earliest opportunity

Well, an update to my ‘Saturday’ delivery, woke up to a “Hi from EE. A new document for your iPhone 16 Pro Max 256GB White Titanium device agreement is now available. Log in to ee.co.uk/go/login to view it. Thanks.” Text message, and obviously when you log in to EE there is no reference to documents anywhere, no contact from DPD, so it looks like today will be a bust as expected. 

Ordered the PM on the 16th, tracking with the xko shows as despatched (but no despatch date).  Honestly I doubt I will see it before the 15th October (first availability from Apple directly) as I have zero to no faith EE were allocted enough units to fulfill those preorders.  I'd love to be pleasantly surprised though.

It's more a supply from Apple issue, than it is an EE issue.  However with the caveat that EE should just be open and honest with customers and state that availability is at the discretion of supply from Apple, instead of showing items as despatched when they don't have the units to do that.

I'll just have to be patient I guess.

I've just had my early upgrade fee refunded. I did email them to say I wasn't happy about being charged £100 for the sake of 1 day but hadn't heard anything from them as of yesterday. 

As usual I got given an xko number, the order email said I had to call to confirm some details and as usual they couldn't find it even with the number so it was all done over the phone. 

The guy I spoke to didn't mention the upgrade fee, that's because I thought he knew I'd already paid online, so they've either cancelled that old xko order that they couldn't find which has resulted in the refund being processed, or they've received my email and decided to refund it. Either way I don't mind!

He did make a point of the anytime upgrade no longer being a thing and said this is the last time I could do it. Hoping they'll bring out something similar in time for next year.

my tracking page has updated now to show delivery as between 4th-8th October ☹️ I ordered on 17th.

They look to know what's going on now as have two sets of delivery windows being quoted, so they can say when they will be able to send waves of orders

I don’t know why I continue to put up with this. Ordered on the 13th less than an hour into the preorder window being opened, 1TB Desert Titanium Pro Max, promised launch day delivery, advised by a consultant that the phone had been collected by DPD, zero updates on text or via DPD app, and now the latest update on checking my order is “27th September- 1st October”

 

Even taking a Full Works top level, plan with additional insurance, does nothing to encourage them to look after their customers.

Ordered pro max 512gb NT on the 16th of sep and got confirmation the same day mines just updated to same 4th till the 8th of October!! Could it still come before then or is that my allocated time slot?

Estimated. I suspect there’s a possibility of it coming before then.

All being well it comes earlier then customer service told me I’d have it next week when I ordered it but don’t trust that lol
