Just wanted to come back and give some final updates for this year.
Ordered my phone 13th sep by 1:52pm. (Black Pro Max 256GB)
Received 11am Launch Day (20th Sep)
I managed to get my fee waived, and on a NON-Flex pay contract, what this means for next year, I'm still unsure but I guess we'll see. Like others, I also received a free case and screen protector which was a nice surprise!
As for issues I've noticed with my 16PM, the camera doesn't seem to be as clear/sharp as my 15PM when it comes to taking pictures of things with small text (IN SOME SCENARIOS). There's a noticeable amount of 'ghosting' as if im shaking the camera even when I'm completely still, but im unsure if this is software related. (I have a suspicion it is).
There's also a very annoying issue where if I launch the camera using the on-screen button on my lockscreen and go to video mode, the camera will constantly freeze and restart over and over again. The solution is to just launch the camera app after unlocking.
Finally, the 16PM seems to be noticeably more sensitive to darkness. This manifests as the 16PM wanting to use the flash in the same light scenarios where the 15PM doesn't. And tbh I found myself agreeing with the 15 more in these instances as the room was bright enough and did not justify needing to use a flash at all.
That's all I've really noticed thus far, other than that, a very incremental upgrade as expected.
For those on the 15 Pro or even 14 Pro, trust me, you're not missing much at all and it's not worth the stress of trying to get it sooner.
