Hello Again.
After last years MONUMENTAL thread became the second most popular thread on the entire website, (Over 400k views & 6k replies) I thought I'd make another for this years iPhone release. 

Just like last year let's use this thread purely for Tracking Preorders and any related discussion around it.

Last year was a mess for EE, Let's hope things are different this year.

So just an Update for everyone.

If you have ordered the IPhone 16PM WT 256GB, expect nothing more than a very long delay.
I am in the same position, ordered early September and I just phoned for an update.  The agent on the phone said the white phones are basically OUT OF STOCK even with APPLE so the chances off EE receiving many if ANY are remote at best.
They even advised me to cancel my order  for my iPhone 16 PM WT 256GB and order one with a quicker turnaround. Now that’s confidence for you. EE

Oh that sucks! What colour and size?? I went for black because I figured it would be the least commonly ordered.

I ordered in a franchised store if that makes any difference!

Ahh I see maybe that’s why tempted to cancel my order and go in a store to be honest that’s not EE

I have just received the same text and I have NEVER agreed to trade in my phone? What should we do ??

You can either do as I'm doing, and waiting until I receive the phone, THEN if they mention the trade-in again, tell them to go swing for it, or you can do as @AlisterMali2 was suggested to do, and that's to cancel your order and re-start the process from scratch, putting you back at the end of the queue..

Well....Today I finally received my iPhone 16 Pro Max (256 Black). It has been a nightmare throughout the whole process.

Pre ordered at 13:09 Friday 13th Sept. Received order number and confirmation email. Kept getting “Sorry, we can't show your order details right now” so I reached out to EE.

I spoke to ee TWICE who said my order was successful and “don’t worry” and that I should receive my tracking details soon, and that they'll even add a note for "faster delivery".

1 week later I got in touch again. 3rd EE person tells me my pre order didn’t go through.

The reason it didn't go through is because they said I placed a Flex Contract (I didn't) and that I selecte the 36 month contract (I didn't). I even forwarded the confirmation email with what I actually ordered but nothing they could do.

Due to this, I had to re-order again from scratch on Tues 24th Sept.

After re-ordering, I did not receive a new confirmation email with order ID. I got in touch again and found out they incorrectly spelt my email address in their system. I asked them to resend it but by default they could not. They just texted the Order ID to me instead.

Exactly 2 weeks later, received my DPD text with Pin. Received the phone next day (today).

I'll not be pre-ordering from EE again.

How do EE manage to get it so incredibly wrong every year?

Their systems are clearly not fit for purpose.  

Different staff telling you different things, often contradicting or blaming each other.

Zero customer service, zero caring about existing customers, zero learning from each year's disastrous upgrade process.

Just pure corporate laziness and greed.

I had to cancel my original order because they refused to waive the £300 upgrade fee, even though I was upgrading ONE DAY before my 12 month anniversary, so I cancelled the order on principle and the lady I spoke to told me she thought it was silly that they wouldn't waive the fee for one day, she also assured me there was huge stock of phones this year because they knew demand was high.  A total lie.

EE just don't give a damn because they know we'll all be back to upgrade again next year.

It's been almost 28 days and still no phone EE taking me for a ride now I will not ever be upgrading or pre ordering ever again and when my contract finishes I will be taking my services to a better network, this network is run by cowboys and treat us customers poorly 

Ordered the 16 pro max DT 256 on 20/09 and got my DPD notification saying they’re expecting a parcel from EE today, finally !

Did anyone get a phone case & protector before their phone? I’ve had them come today but still no sign of my DT PM 256.. tracking says dispatched (has done since i ordered it, the 20th of sept) but no dates for anything.. bit fed up of waiting now🫠
