Hello Again.
After last years MONUMENTAL thread became the second most popular thread on the entire website, (Over 400k views & 6k replies) I thought I'd make another for this years iPhone release. 

Just like last year let's use this thread purely for Tracking Preorders and any related discussion around it.

Last year was a mess for EE, Let's hope things are different this year.

Just spoke to EE and ‘apparently’ the reason I don’t have any tracking information is because the pro max isn’t out for another 20 days… only the normal pros..

Honestly it’s all getting so confusing. I’ve just have an advisor say that she is aware other agents have been giving false information, then told me I was lying when I said DPD notifications started going out yesterday and then said if I was to order a PM today it’s 7-8 working days to delivery but can’t give me any update on my device that I was told I would receive on launch day. I asked to make a complaint and now I’m being left on read!? Who knows at this point 

Its very intresting to read what the customer service agents are saying - all seem to be making this up as they go along. I was told that if I were to cancel my order and re-order later, I would lose my space in the queue and would be treated as a new customer. Anyone ordering today will not be getting their orders for at least a month!

Just picked my online order for store collection  from store even got a free case and screen protector

This is the final message I was given before I just left the chat 

The iPhone 16 pro max 256 GB in black has been hugely popular with customers and this has led to a global shortage. We are working very closely with Apple to get more stock, and we are trying to arrange deliveries each week. We are fulfilling the oldest orders first once we receive stock, and we are doing our best to keep customers updated regularly

Congratulations on the new device, looking into your account it seems that the order has successfully processed, and currently we're processing the order on the basis of First come and first serve basis. So, you'll get the delivery soon, and we'll keep you updated about the delivery details.

I have checked, and it shows 7-8 days for the customers who will order it today. So, I cannot tell you the estimated date, but surely you'll receive confirmation email 24 hours prior when the device gets dispatched.”

Pro Max 256GB in Black arrived at 8:05am from DPD on VIP.

All set up and all good.

My gut is telling me its a mix of 2 things:
1. Some models are lower in stock than others, but EE don't know which (or won't tell the advisors at least)

2. For whatever reason, they're having issues dispatching or processing orders leading to delays. Some of these delays are just slower than normal to dispatch the order (this could be a logistical issue between EE and DPD), some of these delays are due to orders not being processed correctly or in time, falling in to a backlog and by the time they're processed there's no stock of the model, so waiting for more.

 

Compounding this issue is EE's poor management of order processing and tracking, either not being able to be tracked on line, or the order not being processed correctly and having to be done manually which in turn potentially affects tracking as the original order number isn't the number it was processed on...

Yep it’s happened to a few of us on paired watch plan. We swapped my number yesterday this morning I got a text with time slot & pin

Utterly pathetic. Pro max ordered. Email says "Available to pre-order. Expect delivery to you on launch date" I ring them

I'd have just bought it brand new from apple, what a bunch of of jokers

When you say swapped number- I assume you mean changed the number on the DPD delivery? I'm hoping a PIN will come through, or possibly the driver can send it via email instead?
