Hello Again.
After last years MONUMENTAL thread became the second most popular thread on the entire website, (Over 400k views & 6k replies) I thought I'd make another for this years iPhone release.

Just like last year let's use this thread purely for Tracking Preorders and any related discussion around it.

You can find a general discussion thread here: https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Orders/Iphone-16-pro-16-pro-max-pre-order-thread-that-time-of-the-year...

Last year was a mess for EE, Let's hope things are different this year.

Damn. Your order number is after mine! I’ve not had any notification of shipping and nothing on DPD. Hopefully that will update during the week. 🤞🏾

that is exactly what I plan to do after paying £300 yesterday.  The anniversary of receiving last years iPhone, following the GREAT EE pre-order debacle of 2023. But for the 2023 debacle on September 15th, 2023 i’d have received my phone on release day i.e., September 22nd, 2023.  instead I only had to wait 3-days extra. The URL to the 2023 release article is below if anyone is interested.

This brings into focus the EE’s iPhone Customers will always be a hostage to fortune.  This year Apple announced the release on Monday, September 9th. with pre-order day, which still had its problems, on September 13th.  My date calculator app tells me that was only 364-days before the last pre-order, yep 11-months and 29-days.  That’s one day shy of a year and the free upgrade. Yes, as I said, EE customers are a hostage to fortune and the vagaries of when Apple holds their iPhone event, the pre-release day, the actual release day and whether EE’s computer systems can handle the load to allow the customer to receive their new shiny iPhone on release day.  Because of last years debacle i received my iPhone 15 PM 1TB on September 25th.  That means if I am lucky to receive my new iPhone 16 PM 1TB next Friday I will be 4-days shy of 1 year and a free upgrade i.e., 361-days or 11-months and 26 days.

Some might say, well you could have waited a day.  Well, my answer to that is sure I could but I just check the same model on the Apple Store app by adding it to my Bag and it tells me I may get my iPhone sometime between October 8th and October 15.  So that means I will definitely be paying EE £300 next year when I join next years iPhone pre-order.  It gets worse and worse.

I sort of wonder what the purpose of the very expensive EE Apple Full Works 24 Month plan is because it shouldn’t cause this type of anxiety in EE’s customers, but it does, every year without fail. Cheers EE… my buffer face is full on at the moment 😳.

Just for fun, remember that BT Group posted a 7.7p dividend to its 9-billion plus shares.  That is a cool £750M+.  No wonder EE need my £300 because I missed the free upgrade by between 1-day and 4-days.

Sorry, for all the heavy sarcasm, but I am one very peed-off puppy, and yes I am firkin angry 😡.

EE Complaints will defo be hearing from me sadly.

That is something I need to check out so i might save myself my current £10 PM SIM plan on my current Apple Watch 6.

Hi when people did there pre order did anyone have to sign a document for new contract when upgrading? Well pre ordering the iPhone 16 pro max cuz I got told would not need to just need to listen to the ts and cs and that’s it anyone else ?

Yeah I had to agree to reams and teams of T&C’s…. Including a £4 annual price rise each March…. Something not well advertised.

Did they not send you over a copy or anything ? I got read the t&cs and that’s it no documents etc
