iPhone 16 Pro max freezing

Hi all

got my new phone today.  Updated it from a backup and currently at the downing apps stage.  It currently keeps freezing and rebooting.  3 hours in and done it 6/7 times.  Cannot contact ee as the phone reboots before I get through the queue so just looking to see if anyone else has experienced this on day 1

This certainly isn't the start we'd want you to have for a new handset. 

Have you tried updating it to the latest software first, then trying the restore?

Same, another shiny turd from apple that doesn't work properly advertised AI features it doesn't even have and to top it all off it freezes all the time super value for a over £1000

@markrogers12   Apple have very clearly stated that AI is only available in the US as of 18.1.  it’s never been advertised by Apple that it’s available outside the US on 18.1. 

But there is a work around that you can do on the device should you be interested in doing this.   You might want to read THIS  

 AI for UK users hopefully is coming soon.  18.2 next month

 what about the rest of the simple functions Chris? like the fact it doesn't work properly when using an automated calling systems or the screen freeze & restart or the apps that just crash all the time what about them functions? i have more that just don't work was apple clear on them?  my first comment stands its a shiny turd

Do you still have the old iPhone? Could you not clone the old phone rather than installing from a backup.

Run phone updates after the clone has finished
