iPhone 15 & 15 Pro Preorder Tracking Thread

Hey Guys, 

Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking. 

I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

Just had my one hour slot! 2:30-3:30, pro max NT 256GB 

Its been a rollercaoster of a launch and pre order. Will update when it arrives.

I'm hoping it's a good sign but my local Apple Store (Aberdeen) has black, blue and natural in 256 and 512 available for same day collection. Only thing stopping me from going straight to Apple is my watch contract means I'd need to take one of EE's terrible sim only deals.

Just thought I’d update, it’s my first post on here.

 

I ordered the 15PM NT 256gb on 15/9, at roughly 1345. I was in the camp where they told me the systems were down and everything was being done on paper. I paid £6.99 for next day delivery. I recieved no confirmation or update whatsoever, so I called again the next day (16/9, at roughly 1030) and was put through to another advisor who sorted the order and I recieved an email shortly afterwards with my 0033082 number. I was told at every stage that I would receive the handset on launch day, and shouldn’t expect any issues. I booked the day off work and stayed at home, ordered the case and screen protector, for nothing. The trade-in pack for my old 13 Pro was also promptly sent to my house.

Called CS on the 22nd (launch day), more enquiring as I hadn’t recieved any DPD details, completely unaware that I never would, only to be told then that I would be waiting up to 14days. I whinged like the rest of us, and was given a £30 credit on my account, along with a £6.99 refund for the delivery. Only at this point was I told that I could be waiting up to 28 days. I was gutted, naturally.

I also explained to the CS assistant that I travel all over Europe with my job, and on the 4th October I was due to drive over to the south of France, where I will remain until the 26th. Naturally when I placed my order I didn’t anticipate this to be an issue, this was weeks after launch day when my device would be arriving? Sure. Anyway once the realisation kicked in that this was going to be an issue, and after many “we haven’t received your device” texts, I called EE again to check that my trade in offer will still be valid. I was told this will be valid until 14 days after I take delivery of my new device, and despite receiving the message that a £340 charge is going onto my account, this will not be the case and I will not have any issues so long as I send my old phone in straight away. I of course await the onslaught of problems associated with this over the next few weeks.

Anyway despite a lot of checking my order tracking over the last month (something it appears I am fairly privileged to have been able to do compared to some peoples orders) nothing has changed. Other than the fob-off “shut up” message on the 21st I have had no update from EE whatsoever. Nothing on my tracker changed? It just said “Pre order confirmed”, I didn’t get any updates with the “your order is on track” etc.

Until yesterday at about 1400. I recieved my DPD text saying they were expecting my parcel, the tracker still hadn’t changed or updated, but I went on the DPD app and upgraded it to a VIP slot so that it would be delivered today. I was sent a pin in the message. Understandably, with me being in another country, I’ve had to hand the pin and a photo of my ID to my housemate to accept the delivery. I’ve also got to fly him down to Cannes to meet me with the phone, and take back my old device to send it off to the trade-in folk. The things you have to do! And of course EE couldn’t care less about the disruption that all this is causing me and won’t accept any responsibility. Despite them lying to me, and all of us, constantly.

I’ve never treated myself to a brand new iPhone on launch day before, this was a first experience for me and definitely will be the last, I won’t ever be doing it again. I don’t think the blame lies solely at EEs door for the whole mess they’ve made of it. But I for one detest being lied to, and no matter what spin they insist on putting on it, this is exactly what they have done at every stage. Next time, I’ll order a new device in January, but I’ll likely keep hold of the 15 for a few years. Never ever again will I order on launch day.

Mister Zen, I’m genuinely gutted for you that you haven’t had your text. We’ve been at roughly the same position the whole time on the spreadsheet and I was expecting that we would receive our info and our new devices at the same time. I hope this changes for you and you get an update soon.

Long post over. I absolutely resonate the confusion and dissatisfaction of everyone on here. When my buddy arrives down here in a few days with my phone it will be quite bittersweet, and luckily an end to what has on the whole been a really unpleasant experience. We have the tools to check stock levels globally, and I am providing you with the current estimated wait time accordingly. The delivery could potentially occur before November 2nd, but the standard wait time that I have provided you with is in line with our usual procedure. This really makes me laugh above really 😂😂

The whole thing is a complete mess tbh. They basically lied to every customer from the Friday (pre order day) & Saturday to secure orders knowing they wouldn’t be able to fill those order on launch day! I only found yesterday I’m in the ‘up too 28 days delivery’ queue! At no point prior to yesterday was I made aware of this! It’s left a very bitter taste in my mouth that come Saturday (which out my order outside of 28 days) if it is not received I’ll issue a further complaint, take the compensation and cancel my order. I have an order with Apple direct so I’ll happily wait till mid November for that one just so I can pay off my current device and downgrade the account to a sim only! EE have been extremely shabby with this release and for most - we’ve experienced the worst customer service from a company that apparently been rated best network for 10 years running. At this stage I’d rather f**k em off with a middle finger and just keep a sim only deal with them! Sometimes it’s better to instead of wasting energy and time trying make a company see their mistakes and errors - just take your business and money elsewhere! Saturday D-Day!👌🏾

My phone just arrived! 256GB Nat Titanium and it was worth the wait - it's gorgeous!

Mine arrived at home at 13:17, just gotta wait for the work day to end so i can go set it up!

Hope all of you still waiting hear some news soon and that those of you who should have had before me but have not complain and get suitably compensated for the FCFS not being a thing

I'll probably still visit for a while because this thread has become part of my routine now 😂

i resieved my pm 512 blue yesterday. i quite like blue it's a lot different in real life so I'm happy. although like i said as soon as mine came i put on a screen protector and it went straight into a case.

Ordered on the 15th Sep and completed on the 16th Sep at 9am.
