Hey Guys,
Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.
I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

Did u do it over the phone your pre order at all cos u shoukd have had it emailed to you with the price plan and contract information

How did you manage to get that info out of them😩 every time I ask them for a rough ETA they always say “we only have the stock availability if you were to place an order today” and just keep hitting me with the same 28 day wait time spiel

He counted 28 days from when I placed my order, I pre ordered mine over the phone & was told I’d get it release day or the Monday which was false information.

Hey guys,
I know it’s annoying and believe me, I’m not happy with EE at all. But for those like me who ordered their PM’s on the 15th and were promised delivery on launch day, we are most likely just expecting 28 days. But 28 days would mean that we have less than 2 weeks now. We should all get ours by Friday 13th (going by the luck of that date - probably not) 😂.
I would love my phone to arrive, but the excitement of getting it has completely disappeared after I didn’t get it on launch day. The only reason I’ve not cancelled the order is because the battery health on my 14 PM is at 91% and it’s shocking how rubbish it is.

I have ordered the exact same phone as you. I ordered at 1:40 on the 15th over the phone with confirmation email at 9am on 16th. But I have not received what you have received. Strange what is the first 7 of your order number if you don’t mind?

I haven’t received anything but a order is on track email, I phoned in to CS & that’s what he said to me

From what I’ve heard though, a lot of people have been constantly told the 28 day time scale and then the phone got delivered before that point, they got a message from DPD but the EE tracking link didn’t update.
Of course that’ll vary based on the model/storage/colour we ordered, but it sounds like the 28 day wait is a blanket statement when in reality, the EE advisors don’t actually have a clue

I think the EE CS don’t have a clue due to their systems constantly being down due to so many people wanting updates on their order, new people ordering, all of this on top of their usual site activity. So this is most likely why we are seeing some traction with the orders overall (obviously a lot more people are getting theirs delivered pretty soon or got theirs delivered who aren’t even on the community). Since they can’t work around their server issues the blanket statement seems like a good way to go. Nonetheless, was a lot of talk of the PM being highly delayed before the event due to the new camera, of course Apple never confirmed to not hurt sales but this could also be a factor if we see more than 2 week delays.

I've had nothing the whole time other than the "everything is on track" text on Thursday 21st, no texts or emails since, tracking hasnt moved nor have any updates been added to the bottom of the tracker since the 16th.
If i have anything now after a few weeks of this, its frustration that EE haven't made a consistant communication on this, that the best option we here have for any indiciation of when we might see is the spreadsheet but even that speculation requires the assumption of "first come first served" which we cant be sure is still the case - i can appreciate that this is more an Apple stock issue than an EE issue but everybody who has ordered here is an EE customer and across 250+ pages of this tread alone there is nothing but inconsistent information, missinformation and examples of shocking service - the recent posts of EE not providing full address info & phones showing up with no pre warning are particularly concerning to me.
I've resisted the urge to ring like some people have been doing as it seems pointless, i have only called to confirm that my 2nd October return date could be moved as my new phone had not arrived, Now that the phone has not come for release if it wasnt for my 14PM battery letting me down i'd probably cancel the upgrade and wait it out for next year
