Hey Guys, 

Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking. 

I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

How is it any help! You don't work for EE so this does not tell anyone anything other then lots of people waiting on phones lol. You would need info from EE to give any info on sales coming out and when.

It shows rough estimate of the orders order that is all... no harm of doing that also no one is forcing no body to submit their details in.

I would say the helpful bit is that EE keep saying it's first come first served, so if somebody with an order number after mine gets their phone first I can phone EE and explain that. Eevryone on this forum is in the same boat and if we can all work together to see when phones are being dispatched we get a rough idea of what's going on. If it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't know that EE/DPD start messaging late afternoon, so I don't bother checking my tracking until around 4pm. We are all here for the same reason, and if you fancy having a go at guessing the rest of my order number, my email address and getting into my order, you can do as much as me in the order tracking.... nothing lol!! 😂 Give your head a swivel and chill, we are all sound people!

It's helpful because we can see if batches of orders are getting completed (as long as users mark them as delivered) so while it's not perfect it at least gives us a small idea of when we may get it if you see other models close to your order numbers start moving. Anything is better than the complete blackout from EE.

There is - Apple is deliberately stifling stock to generate interest. I mentioned the background by it on here yesterday. I worked for them for 14 years between corporate and retail.
