Pre-order from Apple!
I see year after year that "I ordered X phone and X GB, X colour, but EE (other networks probably the same) have not sent me a confirmation email"
Save yourself the hassle and order it from Apple directly, then you know exactly when you're getting it. They offer financing too at 0%, then grab a SIM only deal with Uswitch or something for an EE sim
I'm sure come Friday, there will be an Official thread, with comments saying they pre-ordered and something went wrong, no confirmation email or text or something, I guarantee it. The system is unfortunately just not capable of keeping up, even the forum is slow at times

Thought I managed to get my order in on time, called up this morning to check. I was told that because the system went down yesterday they lost a load of orders despite me getting a confirmation.
It’s been placed again 512GB in ‘natural’ but I had to pay £6.95 for delivery. This time they were able to apply a my EE perks discount whereas I couldn’t when I placed it which is a bonus.
Ellie, lady I spoke to was lovely she checked stock and said it should be delivered within 2 weeks according to stock.
I think they’ve had a pretty stressful 24 hours with all the issues and extra callers. If you do call and there’s a problem please be kind, remember it’s not that persons fault. They’re there to try and help you as much they’re allowed to based on the processes set by leadership/managers.

@garetc my experience so closely mirrors this its uncanny.
just spent an hour on the phone, signed the new contract off, awaiting confirmation email (within the hour) she said.
tip for ee though. Stop putting people on hold whilst on a call for the advisor to check every little thing with a team manager, i might as well just deal with them. If this order confirmation does not come through within the hour as stated then what you have here is a customer of 10 years with multiple lines ready to take my business elsewhere.

I start called up again and my order was stuck and now i had to do the order again and the system crashed and still can’t order

Pre-ordered a Pro Max, 256GB Natural Titanium yesterday just before 1pm and got the call message. Was on the phone for almost two hours yesterday to no avail, but tried again this morning at 9:30.
Was on hold for half an hour but eventually got through, order was processed without any issues, I was told it'd be delivered on launch day and got the email confirmation straight away!
Guy on the phone apologised profusely for the difficulty, and said it's totally out of their hands – but today all systems seem to be running fine.

Well I’m glad I rang at 8.30am this morning to double check.
Despite getting my pre order upgrade in and confirmation email by 12.58 for iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB Titanium - when I spoke to them my order had an issue and didn’t go through. “system issues”.
Thankfully upgrade team checked and phone was still showing as “by launch day” and I double checked site and was showing same, so they put upgrade through over phone again. Got my email confirmation immediately with proper number not xko like I got yesterday at 12.58.
Fingers crossed I guess!
Does shock me though. I’ve worked in Dev on very large e-commerce on platforms during Black Friday, with credit systems and complex next day fulfilment similar to EE - the fact EE still haven’t managed to figure out how to respond to the demand for an iPhone launch in 2023 is beyond me.

That’s worth checking out with them.
the pro in some configurations shows available on launch day on the website but the pro max has been a minimum of 14 days since around 1:15pm yesterday.

I already did bud.
When they told me it was still available for launch this morning I didn’t believe them and checked the EE site myself, the Pro Max 256GB Titanium was showing by launch day on the site not 14 days (did say this in my last post 😂).
I assume due to so many failed orders the systems probably flushed those out, so allot of allocated stock became available.
Not much point checking now, as it won’t change. Just checked today as wanted to be 100% my order went through. Worst case if it does end up coming later, I can moan so I get an additional discount on top of my 30% discount for all the hassle.
