iPhone 14 and 14 Pro Preorder tracking thread

I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.

Can someone please help me make sense of this? Everytime I speak to an advisor they tell me something different. 

I ordered the iPhone pro max online, was told to call them (received a XKO order number).  I called and was told I couldn’t get the pro max as my credit wasn’t good enough so swapped to the pro. I then had to call back because I hadn’t received a confirmation email only a text message with a 02 order number for the pro.  The advisor I spoke to said she didn’t know why the advisor said I couldn’t get the pro max as my credit was fine so I changed back. 

at this point I got an email detailing plan etc with a different 02 number. 

few days later my tracking hadn’t updated so I spoke to someone on live chat who gave me a completely different 02 number! So I rang customer service who said the only order number they use is XKO when I literally have a confirmation email with all the details saying order number 02xxxxxx. 

The advisor resent my order confirmation with the XKO number, but all this says is it’s getting ready no details about plan etc. 

 

when I try to track it online I can only get any sort of result using the 02 order number I was emailed as the rest show it can’t be tracked. I’m worrying that I don’t have the order number with the actual phone details etc on it, as the only emails I have with XKO on it is the original plan that they said I couldn’t get or a generic Thankyou for your order about delivery. 

 

please someone help me understand what number I should be using to track my order as I keep getting told different things each time 😭

If I ordered to my local EE store, I still should get a notification from DPD? Still got nothing from them 😡 But tariff has been changed yesterday

@maxon_uk tariff is a huge indicator that phone on its way… if was store collection the you won’t get a track as the store will reach out tomorrow 

This is a great piece of advice - same for me, wasn't sure if I was going to receive it or be delayed but it is in the DPD app for me too.

Probably not as it doesn't involve you / a delivery to you - should get some EE notif tomorrow?

Ohh now it makes sense. Just spoke with CS, she said she can't help me, but I should get in the next couple of days. Ordered to store next to my workplace. Never done this before. Hopefully, I will get my phone tomorrow. Every year my birthday present to myself 😀

Thanks @Smilee12 for your post. I was also patiently waiting for updates on my iPhone 14 Pro Max 256GB which I ordered on Fri 9th around 13:30 and opted to have delivered to an EE store. I only had my XKO number, no DPD tracking number was sent but my tariff changed yesterday. The XKO number didn't work on EE's Order Tracking Site either- it just comes up with 'Sorry, we can't show your order details right now'.

Enquired with EE over live chat a few moments ago- they confirmed it would be delivered in 24 hours. Checked the DPD tracking number they provided and it was actually delivered to the EE Store this morning at 10am! 

For good measure, I called the EE Store directly and they confirmed they have my phone! Cheekily asked if I could go collect now as they close at 7pm and said I likely know what the answer would be. Of course the answer was no lols. I can go collect as soon as they open tomorrow though woop!

Definitely worth enquiring with EE over live chat to get your DPD tracking number if not yet received.

One thing the guy on the phone said is that if you ordered over the phone instead of online then you won’t get an xko tracking number and youll only get this once DPD have got the parcel or on the day of delivery!

I VIP’d my delivery through the website (don’t bother with the app)
