I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.

I don’t see why they do this, on the phone I was told I’d get mine on the 17th/18th possibly even the 16th, they shouldn’t give people false information. I’ll call them tomorrow if I haven’t heard anything. They even tried to say the bank holiday caused delays! Thank you everyone. Fingers crossed we get them soon

Ordered black pro max 512gb in Friday the 9th over the phone and no updates as yet has anyone else ordered same phone on friday and received?if so what time did you order?

Latest update on this farce was that I received a text this morning telling me the order is now 'On Track' and to visit a page for more information. Went to that page but the info was unchanged ('Expected Delivery Date: Awaiting Confirmation'). Followed the links and entered my order number, only to be told 'Sorry, we can't track your order...'
From a company that used to impress with its customer communication, this whole experience has been pathetic.

Just rang 150 and waited in the queue for 12 minutes. Call then answered and operator hung up without speaking. Quality service? I don't think so.

@jddiasnes - My order (iPhone 14 Pro Max - 128GB - Black) was placed by phone on 13 September 2022. Repeated assurance given that the device would be with me 'on Friday or Saturday ... definitely by Monday'. I would have been happy if he'd said 3 weeks, just don't appreciate dishonesty. £217 early upgrade fee paid and taken from my bank within minutes, while still on call.
All - Just a quick update, in case anyone finds it useful. Spoke with a helpful person based in South Wales. Indicated that staff have been told 'definitively' that: 'The iPhone 14 Pro Max is out-of-stock now for all suppliers - we are waiting on Apple for more deliveries. Phones ordered on 13 September are now expected to be dispatched by EE to customers in 21 days from the order date.' That makes it 4 October.
£30 ex gratia payment credited to my account. The advisor didn't know if there is any difference between texts stating 'Order confirmed' and 'On track' but suspected it was just intended to reassure.
I explained that my complaint is not due to the unavailability of devices, but the hopeless and contradictory communications by EE.
