I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.

Yep. And the fact they’re still taking orders. They should just close orders off until they even know when they’ll have stock for people who are already waiting!

No. It’s a first world problem. So what if we don’t get our phones on the day of release, even if, as I was, we were told we were. We have no idea what was going on in the background, whether they received less stock than expected, or whatever. I’ve been an EE customer for ever, and this is the first time I’ve ever had a problem. Give the complaining a rest. You’ll get your phone soon. So what if it’s a couple of weeks late?

Why wouldn’t they take orders?  It’s no different to apple selling them with a delivery time frame of oct-nov. 

EE get their stock from apple and if apple cant send you one till that time frame then EE will be the same. Yes lack of communication is dreadful but EE probably don’t know anything. 

This happens every year yet people are always surprised at the wait for the phone. If you don’t get in quick with an order which has been confirmed then you run the risk of waiting for a while.

If I was I would take my business elsewhere, with a provider that sets expectations appropriately rather than promising something they cannot deliver.

You’ll be over a month waiting for your pro max models. An advisor checked the stock checker for me. People think this is only affecting EE. You do all realise ee don’t make the phones? It’s from apple. There’s stock restraints on all providers.

I preordered the Iphone 14 Pro Max in Silver the day after pre order day. Got an order number message more than a week after, after being left in the dark as to whether my order had been processed or not. Message took me to tracking where it says they’ve got my order and dispatch will happen in twenty four hours. However, it’s been more than two days and no dispatch. And it’s supposed to be here in 2 days from now.
