Wifi mini dongle

I’m in France. My WiFi mini dongle worked fine until the data renewed on my bill (which was paid). Now my iPad finds the router, says it’s connected but won’t actually connect to the internet? I’ve checked and have 40GB of date. Any ideas?

Do you see the same issue if you connect another device, such as your phone, to the router?

That rules out an issue with the router itself.

 

Do you see any error messages or notifications when you try to use data on the iPad?

No, it connects in the waif settings with a ✔️, gives me a signal strength for 5 seconds, then signal strength vanishes, the WiFi ✔️ Remains but cannot connect to anything

What do you mean when you say the signal strength vanishes @Sarahcoley?

 

Do you mean the WiFi strength indicator or something else?

OK @Sarahcoley, so your iPad is losing the WiFi connection to the router.

 

Can your phone keep the WiFi conection when the iPad loses it?

 

Are you close to the router when it happens?

 

Can you please try forgetting the network in your WIFi settings on the iPad and reconnecting?

 

Does that help?
