Upgraded to Iphone 17 Pro/Trade In deadline

I ordered an upgrade to an iPhone 17 Pro on 3/11 this was with a trade-in discount but there are no delivery details yet as its on back order.  I have received my trade-in paperwork and a text to say that I need to have sent back my phone 19th November.  My new phone is unlikely before the 19th,  will my trade in discount lapse and will it affect my new deal?   thanks!

Whilst you wait for stock to be assigned to your new order, we don't expect you to return your current phone, so please don't worry. Your new agreement will not be impacted at all, and any discounts will be applied as promised when your new changes are made.

Do not worry, as you do not need to trade in your old phone until you have received the new one and are satisfied with it.
