Upgrade iphone and trade in

I’ve upgraded to iphone pro max on 27/12/21 and agreed to trade in my iPhone 12 Pro Max.  I’ve received the returns pack BUT have not received my new phone yet, it’s showing on back order no further information when I can expect it.  When I did up grade I was told it was a 5 day wait but still not arrived.  But what do I do as I have to send my phone back for trade in by 12/1/22 or I will be charged cost of phone!!!

I would suggest you ring customer service, as I am sure that you do not need to return the phone until you receive the new one, but they are best placed to let you know.
