Sim locked after upgrade

Antony28

Hi all I need your help please

i I have upgraded with EE to a new iPhone. Just arrived today and when I swap my SIM over to the new phone it shows as having the sim locked.
I have the sim pin, tried this and it didn’t work.
managed to get the sim locked so entered the PUK which I also have from the EE app.
iPhone accepts the PUK but won’t allow me to unlock the SIM card so I’m stuck.
can’t get an answer from ee tonight and it’s a bank holiday weekend so I’m concerned that I will be without new phone until Tuesday.

sim works perfectly in the old phone though. Strange

your help much appreciated

Welcome to the community.

If you give us a call, our technical support team will be able to help you with this. They're open as normal over the Bank Holiday. If you're able to get into your nearest EE Store, that could be a quicker fix. Please take in some photo ID (Passport or UK Driving Licence), in case you need a SIM replacement.

@Antony28  Entering the PUK should then unlock the sim and you’ll need to then setup a new  PIN for the sim.  Your PUK is the default code to unlock your lock sim. If it works on your old device it should work in the new device.    Have you tried factory resetting the new device and tried again.
