Are you saying that you have documentary proof of a plan costing £x/month, and your bill is showing £y/month?
Aside from the common mistake of checking the dates on your bill for pro-rata charges... this sounds like a potential billing error.

@AJ202 £21.12 a month pays for device not the airtime part of the contract if it’s a flex pay tariff with a £30 upfront cost. You still have to pay for the airtime ie calls/texts/data. The device on its own costs £536.88. The cheapest airtime contract that has 5Gb of data will cost £25 a month on top on the £21 a month for the device and this will get you to £1130.88 over 24 months. So if your only paying as you say £34 a month you being undercharged. As it should be £47.12 a month for the device and airtime contracts.

My decision to buy in emi is good or bad also instead of buying 16 pro max I bought 14 ? What do u think ?

@AJ202 , I have the 16 pro max, cannot speak about the 14, 16 pro max is more advanced, but now the 17 is coming out soon and appears to look different. Of course the latest phones become more expensive and have better features, such as camera, it will depend what you want or expect, I will probably not update for another 3 years, have had my 16 pro max for one yearn nearly now with no problems.
You have 14 days to return the product if you are not satisfied, if bought online or via phone order, so you need to make up your mind, if you decide to change your mind, but will have to wait until the return and your account has been put back to what it was previously before doing the order again, if that is what you wish. You can check and do a comparison on the website or by going on Apple website.

“I bought a phone from a store in Liverpool yesterday, and now I’m facing battery drainage and overheating problems when using Messenger, TikTok, or YouTube. I feel very upset and regret my purchase. I would like to change my plan to an iPhone 16 Pro Max, like yours. Do the EE shops in Liverpool allow that? I’m really worried, as this is a big headache for me. If they don’t exchange it, I’ll be very stressed.”

@AJ202 no you can’t swap the phone. the phone when you set it up probably updated the iOS on the phone. This is now configuring in the background so it will consume more battery and slightly get warm it’s using the battery power to do this, plus I can bet your messing around so its using battery. A battery that’s draining will get hot it’s how battery chemistry works. Give it a few days to finish the process of indexing the update.

Please keep all your posts on a single topic to the same thread rather than adding to other threads, it avoids duplicate replies in different places.
There is no statutory 14days "change of mind" right of return on face-to-face instore purchases, and EE retail stores have no returns policy for buyers remorse - the basis being that you've had ample time to inspect the goods face-to-face and make an informed decision.
You would have to contact the EE retail store in question to see whether they would make an individual exception for you, but I would advise against getting your hopes up.

“Thank you for explaining. I understand there is no statutory 14-day right to return for in-store purchases, and that EE stores don’t usually accept returns for buyer’s remorse. However, since the phone is already showing issues with overheating and battery drain, I believe it may be faulty. Could you please confirm whether I can bring it back to the store for inspection or replacement under warranty or consumer rights? I would really appreciate your guidance.”
