Order “despatched” but no text/email

So I’ve ordered a new phone, albeit only yesterday and my app now says its despatched. Image wont attach for some reason

in no massive rush for it but I’ve had no text or email from DPD yet so wondering if this is a visual bug? Just trying to make sure I’m home and don’t want it to just turn up when I’m not there as I believe I will need a pin on delivery or something?

edit: i have checked the dpd app and the emails and postcode etc match but no tracking, I’ve had a text from EE saying

but this is nowhere to be seen or found on the app

@JayTee1995 , there are other customers still waiting to receive their phone they have ordered before you, so you will have a wait, but once the phone is dispatched from EE, then DPD will let you know up to the evening before delivery and another one on the day of delivery with a one hour window and a PIN number that you have to show to the driver to accept your phone.

Have you actually checked your spam/junk folder, as it may have gone there?

Of course, it said dispatch within 28 days so I’m not expecting it soon.

I called them in the end and they’ve said they don’t even have the stock, so I’m concerned as to why my tracking says it’s on its way, as when I read the agreement it said my payment started once its dispatched, so I’m now expecting them to start taking payments even though they don’t even have the stock?

I’m not bothered about the delay, it was luxury upgrade rather than a necessary one, but communication from EE seems to have not improved since pre covid. Same issues every year, apple delays are inevitable, but they have an obligation to keep customers informed with correct information

@JayTee1995 , does it show an X at the end where it says delivered? That is what you need to look at on your app if you get what I mean?

I ordered mines on the 27th. I have also received a text from DPD but EE still hasn’t updated there side. This has happened to me in the past.

That seems very misleading surely the teardrop would be above “order confirmed” if they do not yet have stock?
