New phone and disgrace of a service for help

Why have I got a new Iphone 16, had it for a week and the number isnt transferred along with all the other data ? I can only ring 150 off my old phone which wont charge hence the problem. I can not do anything and have to find a community chat service for an answer? Disgrace. Been on another phone and spat out of the service a few times telling me to try online, disability stops me sitting at a computer. EE are a joke, been with you since Orange days and you can not even transfer a number in a week just spam questions to my old phone and make me ask here. Disgrace.

So you are an existing EE customer and upgraded?

If you upgraded, you need to move your old SIM from your old phone into your new phone. When  you set up your iPhone 16, it will transfer your data over from your old phone. Have you set it up? You don't transfer a number if you are an existing customer and upgrading.

@CANNON_89  All the other data on your old device isn’t an EE issue it’s a you issue.   Transferring information from one iPhone to another iPhone is all done when you setup the new device next to the old device. You just need to make sure Bluetooth is enabled. The new iPhone even gives you the option to setup from an old device when you switch on for the first time.

I’ll not say anything about the number issue as that’s been covered.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
It wasn’t managed correctly and it was an we issue. My sim didn’t support it and you sent out instruction to do something which didn’t work, had me contact you which was a nightmare. Customer service isn’t your strong point and your attitude towards this is rude and unhelpful, showing the world ee have employed someone who’d rather be childish than help. Please say all you can and want about the number transfer. Your operative who did it heard it being set up wrong and the phone didn’t work for another 24 hours. I had to use YouTube and someone told me how to erase the sim which was on it and was causing an issue with the eSIM you helped install - without warning when prompted with the exact problem and what I said would happen, did happen.

Hi @CANNON_89

I am very sorry you have had this experience when you have got in touch and you were unable to use the new phone.

Has the number now transferred for you and the phone is now showing full signal?

Hope to hear back from you soon.

Leanne.
