New iphone 16 cant make or recieve calls or texts

Please can anyone help.

i got my new phone yesterday, i transfered everything from my old iphone to the new one, put the sin in my new one, i cannot make or receiece any calls or send or recieve texts. I cant even call EE or text for help.  The wifi signal is there but the little signal sign tonthe left of it is jusy dots. Ill try to attach a photo.

Did your new iPhone 16 come with a new SIM card? If so, are you using the existing SIM? 

Also. just to check does the SIM card work in your old phone?
