Enable report spam or junk on iOS

I am unable to report spam calls or SMS on iPhone on EE. Apple support says to contact my carrier. Why this not enabled and how can I enable it?

@Hate-eee  You forward the text to 7726. (SPAM) 

 and you can report a call by texting CALL to 7726.  
 On each of these it’ll then ask you to forward the number.

Thank you, but that does not answer my question.

In iOS and Android there is a built in function to report spam and block numbers with a click. This does not work on EE on iOS, am pretty sure it used to on Android... and as I said, Apple Support say this is an issue at the carrier end. So how can I get this to work, or why does it not work?

@Hate-eee   There a feature within the device it doesn’t mean a network provider has to support any device feature especially when the text service is not network specific and any uk network can text to that number to report scams.

it’ll automatically report spam text.   The problem is you might get a text from someone who’s not in your contacts list.    = it’ll be reported
