Hi, I am sure this has been asked before but I can't find the answer, so apologies if going over old ground. I have a sim only contract on an iPhone. If I purchase an Apple Watch with cellular from a third party rather then EE is there an extra charge to link to my iPhone and to use the watch without the phone to make calls? If yes, is it easy to add, what dot I need to do. If I were to purchase a watch from EE on a contract is the possibility for cellular usage included in the monthly payments? Thanks in advance.

@Nev64 yes you can add a watch purchased from elsewhere and the tariff will be £7 per month and you will get 10 gig of data just for the watch you’re cool and text allowance from your phone can be used via the watch. you set this all up via the watch app.
if you get the watch from EE, then that includes everything that you need in order to use the watch away from your phone, including data. if you purchase it as a contract. Just like a phone.

Just to add that more recent tariffs (All Rounder for iPhone and Full Works for iPhone) include unlimited watch data as standard.

I didn’t say any different. I was accurate that recent tariffs include watch data. As you say, we don’t know which tariff they have so it’s worth mentioning.

Thanks Chris_B and Techhead, really helpful. I have a very basic el cheapo sim in my phone but it does me. I will look at other tariffs as well as the watch options. Thanks both. Nev.
