Apple Watch

I bought an Apple Watch Ultra 2 on a contract with EE

The plan will only let me set the watch up for a family member, but the user has their own iPhone.

Do I need a different plan?

Hi @Wrlc,

Welcome to the EE Community

There are two different plans available for the watch, the paired plan or family member plan. A paired plan is where the watch and phone will share the same number for the calls and texts, this needs to be setup with a number on the same account as the watch.

With the family member plan the watch is independent and has its own number which can be used for calls and texts from the watch.

Is it a paired plan you are looking to use and is the user number on the same billing account as the watch?

The Apple Watch is one of those gadgets that feels like it’s evolved into something way more than just a cool piece of tech on your wrist. I mean, when it first came out, people were mostly excited about having notifications or calls on their wrist without having to pull out their phone all the time. But now, it's become a health and fitness powerhouse, helping with everything from tracking your workouts to monitoring your heart rate, sleep, and even blood oxygen levels.

What's crazy is how it can even detect irregular heart rhythms or notify you if your heart rate gets too high or low—things that make you think, "Wow, this little watch is actually helping me take care of my health!" Plus, there are so many personalization options with the bands and watch faces that it really feels like an extension of your style. And let’s not forget about the integration with iPhones and how seamless everything feels, like using Apple Pay or replying to texts.

For a lot of people, it's become part of their daily routine, almost like a personal assistant and health coach rolled into one. Even if you're not super into fitness, it’s great just for staying connected and organized. You kind of don't realize how handy it is until you start using one regularly.
