I have upgraded my Apple Watch with cellular and it just says ‘no sim’ when trying to install mobile data. I have gave it chance and time to figure itself out and still nothing! Bit frustrating when I’m paying for the data plan!!

i have a pay monthly iPhone as as well as a pay monthly Apple watch

i had no issues with my period Apple watch but since upgrading it just keeps saying no sim and doesn’t have any mobile data. 
I upgraded online via the EE website

no it’s my new one. 
The previous message should have said I had no issues with my old Apple Watch. 
since upgrading to series 7 just constantly says no sim and no connection
