Apple Watch series 8 delivery

Anyone else having problems with EE in relation to the delivery of the series 8? Pre ordered mine yesterday and was told that over the phone it will be delivered on launch day.  Spoke to EE again this morning and it’s now changed to 3 weeks!

I did get a text off Ed yesterday saying,Hi you can go further with your new Apple Watch but before you pair it you need to be connected to WiFi to activate your data

Does Ed mean EE or DPD? I can't figure out if it's an auto-correct, and if it is, which one you mean.

Ordered 45mm on 14/09, came today 03/10. 
Absolutely no DPD delivery updates etc, just showed up at my door unexpectedly.

I’ve had to cancel the Starlight, the Silver is coming tomorrow instead.

I ordered my around pre order day and am still waiting - not very amused really. What makes it worse is the poor communication from EE. I have rang several times keep getting told 2 - 4 weeks!

Anyone got any updates on rough delivery times?

 

Ordered on 21st sept (definitely should have been more on it & ordered sooner, anyways)… hoping for a wait no longer than 4 weeks?!! (Starting to wish I had just bought the thing out right)

I cancelled my original order which had no updates for 30 days, it was the 41mm starlight, finally talked to someone said starlight was hard to get and if I went to aluminium instead 2 days, and so we cancelled the other and re ordered I ordered Sat , it came on the following Tuesday. Not exactly what wanted, but we have it and job done.
