Apple Watch own number

I pay £7 for an add on for data for my Apple Watch. It appears as a new number - not the one connected to my phone. Can anyone tell me if that’s right? Surely my phone and Watch should have the same number?! Please help - thank you!

@_Fi_Mac_Noodle_ your watch will have it so number as it needs this for billing purposes and to have data access. It’s linked at account level so when someone calls your phone your watch will ring.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
