Ordered said device on Tuesday as it was saying it would be dispatched within 1 working day. It obviously hasn’t been dispatched and the order number does not work for tracking.
Does anybody know what the reason for the hold up is?
The phone is a 17 Pro Max 256GB Sipver

Great choice of phone there, I can imagine that you're excited to get your hands on your new phone.
I've had a look at our stock page, and I can see that if you ordered the iPhone 17 Pro Max 125gb in Silver on Tuesday, there was a 14 day wait for the phone.

I ordered the iPhone 17 pro max in silver on Thursday the 2nd of April I was just wondering what time timescale and wait for this phone is as I go on holiday on Friday and I’m not sure when the phones gonna come

Looking at the order history for iPhone 17 Pro Max 256GB Silver, stock guidance while placing the order on the 2nd April was - "Available to order - Expect despatch in 14 days"
Which means we are waiting to receive stock from the manufacturer so we can ship this out as soon as possible.

If you haven't done so already I would recommend downloading the DPD app, so that soon as this device is ready to be shipped you will be notified with the tracking details.

Do you have a time scale of when the stock will arrive to you and when I will receive the phone it’s been 6 days already I was just wondering what time frame I will receive the phone

We don't have details stock delivery schedules from manufacturer, however we expect you'll receive it around 14 days after placing your order.
As it's only been 6 days so far, you'll most likely be receiving it next week, though unexpected early deliveries can happen. I know you'll be eager to get it and set up before you go way!

I leave Friday morning and don’t get back until the week after so what happens with my phone whilst I’m away and it gets dispatched and I won’t be here as it’s not gonna come before then

DPP will attempt to try again if no one is at home to accept the delivery, after that they will usually return to sender.
However, if you have downloaded and set up the DPD app you should find you'll have the option to re-arrange the delivery for an alternative date that suites you better.
