internal storage is full. How can I increase it?

How can I increase my internal storage.   I've deleted loads of stuff but most existing storage usage is taken up by 'other' and 'system' which I can't access.  Advice appreciated....

Internal storage is factory-fitted and not something you can alter yourself.

Apart from some recent-issue Samsung S-series devices, most Android phones support micro-SD cards. You can use a micro-SD card to store media such as photos & videos, and preserve the (inherently-limited) internal storage for system functions.

What device.

Other is anything not categorised by android so mostly cached data. You can look under apps and clear the cache of large apps.
