WiFi issues

  • Since moving from BT to EE for broadband my Google Pixle phone will not hold a WiFi connection with the EE router . All other devices work fine but the Pixle constantly drops the connection and is very difficult to get back on line.Generally coming up with “connection Failure “ and after several attempts “saved disabled “ . I then have to reset WiFi and Bluetooth on the phone , Forget the Network and start all over again with password etc . I have followed various fixes that are published online , including stopping Random MAC address but nothing improves the situation so I have had to revert to using the BT smart hub  from my previous broadband installation  and that works fine with the pixle holding WiFi with no issues.

@Derek157 : Older or weaker devices may not be compatible with the default WiFi settings of EE Smart Hubs. Try setting up Compatible WiFi on the router under Advanced > Wireless Settings > Config > Compatible WiFi (it defaults to 2.4 GHz & WPA2) & connect your problematic 2.4 GHz devices to that.
