2 days ago my Galaxy (s21) dropped in the bath - thanks to my 2 year old - and hasn't turned on since. It randomly makes noises and has also had the alarm going off at random times. People who have what's apped me state their messages are on two ticks not one. So I believe there is life in that phone.
My new S24 is coming tomorrow and was wondering if I took it into a shop do they have the ability to transfer over as much as they can from the old phone? Someone came to my house last time and did that but that was because of a completely broken screen rather than water damage.
Any help greatly appreciated as I'm worried about what I'm going to lose from my old phone.
Cheers

The cloud is just a remote server on the internet.
Providing you know the login details for any remote backup, you can restore that to any new phone as you see fit.
Creating a fresh backup from a broken phone depends where the fault is. Using Samsung Smart Switch requires screen interaction which may be tricky if the phone isn't working.
You will often only find out by trying.

I should add that I believe things are backed up on the cloud - but can't be sure exactly what?

Thanks for coming here.
I am sorry to hear that you have dropped your phone in the bath, I must admit this happened to me the other day.

Thanks Katie
My question was really would any of those work if the old phone isn't turning on?
I have an appointment booked for 5pm tomorrow so hopefully they will be able to help
Kind regards
