If your battery after the Ui7 update seems poor this is usually due to the self learn mode not kicking in after update, fix for it as so common is goto phone keypad, type in *#9900#, go down the hidden service menu list to Battery Status reset, select, then exit, soft restart device.
When rebooted battery life will be same as before and last much longer.
