Looking at moving my Dad over to EE as they do WiFi Calling (he's currently with Tesco who don't and is rural with no mobile coverage) and he seems quite taken with the A13 which we'll sort on a sim only plan via our BT broadband >>

https://shop.ee.co.uk/mobile-phones/pay-as-you-go/samsung-galaxy-a13-payg/details

Popped in-store but the EE advisor wasn't sure on the following:

- Is this the 5G variant, or 4G only?

- Does this have WiFi Calling? He said no (because the EE website says no in the filter) but it'd be weird as it has VoLTE and is a fairly recent device. No mention on the device product spec page.

- Does it have NFC? The EE website filter says no but the EE product spec page itself says yes

Thanks in advance 🙂

@gjdhhfjdndjjdj  It’s probably just the 4G version as 5G isn’t available to PAYG customers.   It should have Wi-Fi calling as this is a standard on all devices now.

if you get a sim only deal on EE it’ll be a 5G sim only so if your happy with 4G it’s still good and if it does pick up 5G on the device think of that as a bonus.   You can get the 5G version on Amazon if you really think it’s needed.   Think of it like this, what can you do on 5G that you can not do on 4G.    I’ve got a 5G phone but I still have my settings set to 4G only and I can get a really good 5G connection.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Awesome thanks. Yes no worries about if it has 5G or not, it's more the 4G and 5G variants have other differentiating hardware specs so just trying to find out which it was.

If it was the 5G version it'll be titled "Samsung Galaxy A13 5G" but that model won't be sold by EE as PAYG.
