Hi, I can’t get RCS (chat features) to work on my phone with EE. The chat features status just shows [“Unavailable” / “Setting up…”].
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
Restarted my phone
Updated Carrier Services
Cleared cache and data in the Messages app
Toggled chat features on/off
Tested on both Wi-Fi and mobile data
None of this has worked. Could someone confirm if this is an EE provisioning issue, or if there’s something else I need to do to get RCS working?

Welcome to the community,
I do not have Android, but just wondered whether you have checked settings and then messages to see if it is switched on to be able to use RCS, as it should work. I have Apple and that is where I would check, that is settings and then apps and then messages.

Welcome to the community and thank you for advising all the steps you have tried so far.
Please could you check that you have RCS messages turned on.
Go to messages > Tap on your photo icon or profile > Tap on message settings > Tap general > Check if RCS is toggled on.
Make sure your phone is on the latest software.

Hi,
I cannot activate RCS on my S25 ultra, the status stays always on configuration...and when i try to do it on my pixel fold it Works properly...any recommandation ?

@Abisub Have you checked settings, messages to see if RCS is switched on? You may need to do this.

Look for the app under settings - applications and clear the cache/data.
Try again.
Which messenger app are you using.
Lastly are you in the UK and on contract or PAYG.

Hi @Abisub
It doesn't need authorization it should be activated under settings automatically if you're logged into your Google account and the SIM is active.
Are you PAYG or pay monthly contract.
