As the title says.
I was eagerly anticipating OneUI 7 and installed it as soon as it came.
But now the phone has lost EE ervice and I am effectively walking around with a brick.
No calls or mobile internet but text messages come after a long delaaay.
Phone is a S22 Ultra and the SIM is an eSIM.
Anyone else experiencing similar and do I revert back to a physical SIM?

Receiving text messages demonstrates a network connection, if calls & data don't work at this point then something's clearly wrong.
I suspect what you're describing is, a loss of coverage for extended durations and then a very short re-gain? One test would be whether EE shows on a manual network search when you have no coverage. If yes - that's a phone/SIM issue. If no - either a radio issue or genuine loss of coverage.
Embedded/Electronic SIMs certainly have disadvantages in these scenarios. SIM-swapping, be it for testing purposes or even just a workaround from a faulty phone - naturally impossible with eSIM.

Thanks.
Will "borrow" the Mrs' SIM (had a Z Flip3 5G also on EE but not on OneUI 7).

Boot into recovery and clear the cache in recovery screen and restart. See if that helps.
If that doesn't work you'll need to back up and factory reset.
Sounds like your install was corrupt, it happens.
Thanks
