Network locked code to long samsung s10 plus

Bostanica1

Hi,

Going crazy a little bit here , just got my old s10 plus out and got a sim in it from another network provider just to find out its network locked!

No problem, went to ee online and got the 16 digit code generated by phone's IMEI.

Tried to enter it when prompted on phone upon restart and nothing happens, got in touch with Samsung and they say it should be an 8 digit code and to call ee for assistance.

Didn't manage to call ee yet ,but i have tried putting the last 8 digits of the code ,nothing!First 8 digits, still nothing!

Any other ideeas, or is it any other way or any othe place to put the code in?

Thanks in advance

Hello @Bostanica1

If the phone is Locked to EE you can get the code from here.  Unlocking a EE Device

If the phone is Locked to a different network you will have to get the Network Unlocking Key from them.

It should provide you with instructions on how to unlock it.

Once you have got the code you simply Put the Sim Card of a different network in your phone. It will prompt you to enter the code.

Hi,

As mentioned before i did get the code from EE, but it's a 16 digit code ,after contacting Samsung they advised that the code to unlock the network lock is 8 digits long not 16!

I have tried imputing the last 8 , first 8 but did not work.

My question is how to get the proper 8 digit code or if there is any other way to imput the 16 digit code provided by EE to unlock the network.

Hello

I've unlocked one of those phones before. I  basically turned off the phone and then put a different sim in and turned on then it asked for the Network Unlock Code and when I entered it got unlocked.

I remember putting in the last 8 digits.  If not working then I suggest calling EE.
