I bought a used sim free Moto G55 from the EE tech store last week. However the phone seems to be a corporate work phone which is locked to British airways.
The phone cannot be setup as it is locked. Absolutely shambolic that EE does not have any quality control to check whether the phone will even work and unlock it before putting up for sale.
The deal was listed on the hotukdeals website and seems there are others as well in the same boat looking at the comments as there was a fair few phones listed for sale.
The EE store website also seems to have disappeared today as want to arrange a return Trying to find a contact number where I can speak to a human.
Can anybody please help as I am not an EE phone customer? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately I have already tried that number but I don't get any automated option where I can discuss tech order issues or even an option where I can just speak to customer service.

Hi @RScorpio
Sorry to hear you're facing an issue with the device purchased from our Tech Store. Our devices are fully checked and tested and wiped of the last owner's data, so it's disappointing to hear this is not the experience you've had.
We’ve recently brought our EE Store and ee.co.uk together to offer you the very best of tech and gaming.
If you ordered your device from EE Store, your order will be a 'Sales Order' starting with SO0. For help with orders, returns, or your account, log in to your account here. You'll find support and updates for all past and current orders there.

Thanks, I have already sent an email to enquire-store@ee.co.uk as that showed up as the only communication option for returns and have asked for return details/ pre paid postage so I can get a full refund under the 14 day distance selling regulations. Waiting for a response.
The wiping or reset clearly doesn't work for a corporate phone. As soon as it connects to a wifi network it locks itself up even after a factory reset. The unfortunate part is it is just not me but a lot of others with a similar issue reading the hotukdeals comment as EE had about 20-30 such phones on sale for £68 on the website.
