Hi, I upgraded to a good as new Galaxy A56 earlier this week, and it just seems to be a dud. These are the issues I'm having:
1. It keeps saying fingerprint data corrupted so I can't sign in, and have to keep restarting (at least ten times today). I have tried deleting and re-registering the fingerprint, no difference.
2. I keep losing network. I was on the phone to 150 to discuss this, and got cut off because of this. Also unable to open the EE app. Hence I'm trying to get help here.
3. I also keep getting signed out of the Samsung account which I apparently need to be signed into to use the phone (I've signed in at least ten times this afternoon). There is perhaps a hint that it thinks 'Michael's A56' and 'Samsung Galaxy A56' are two different devices.
The phone is basically unusable! Can anyone suggest anything? I don't really want to have to send it back if possible, having spent three days setting it up (it worked fine to begin with).
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi @MikeS5
Try factory resetting the device.
I would also use two finger prints.
If this doesn't work then you'll need to return the device within 14 days of recieving it, you'll need to speak to EE CS on 150 first.
Thanks

Many thanks Northerner. Just to report back that I tried a factor reset and it made no difference. Got onto EE yesterday and I'll be exchanging the phone for a replacement tomorrow. Better luck next time!
