I'm so tired of only seeing Samsung and Apple mobile phones in every shape and form predominantly available for contract on EE.

My last contract with EE was for an Oppo Find X 5 which has been an excellent bit of kit. I understand that Oppo haven't been on sale in the UK since the X5 but recently they have made the Find X 8 Pro available in the UK through O2. I would really like to have this phone but I'm very loyal to EE and really don't want to leave.

Over the first few weeks of January Oppo will be launching the new Reno 13 and 13 Pro but there is no indication anywhere on line as to who (If at all) will be carrying it? Also OnePlus are due to release their new flagship OnePlus 13 and 13r again there is currently no indication as to who will be carrying these for contract.

I'm aware that EE are currently offering 2 Oppo phones for contract both of them midrange affairs. Neither are of any interest to me.

So EE can somebody from your buying team tell me if any of these new OPPO or OnePlus phones will be available to customers on contract over the coming months, both these brands are recieving high praise from tech influencers and are typically cheaper overall than Samsung or Apple mobiles yet are equally if not more competent than both the aforementioned brands.

Thank you in anticipation of not receiving a response, but I would be eternally grateful if somebody did

Drew (Apparently a legacy customer 🏅)

@OneofmanyDrews  The Oneplus has a launch date of the 7/1/25 and there’s been no preorder announcements.  When did EE last sell a one plus device?   Was it 3 who got exclusivity on a few of OnePlus devices?      Nothing stopping you going sim only and getting the device of your choice from elsewhere ?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Hi @OneofmanyDrews

Like any retailer it will be the deal they reach with the manufacturer and demand/sales will direct sales. Niche devices have a limited appeal.

You are better off buying these devices sim free as they tend to be cheaper.

Thanks

EE standard opening hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 9pm - Saturday and Sunday, 8am to 8pm.

Unfortunately when I last bought a phone elsewhere and stayed with EE for SIM only they wouldn't allow me to use WiFi calling. Apparently they only allow it with handsets you get direct from them. Seems underhanded to me!

Unsure why you think this, but it's untrue. They won't guarantee the facility on devices not directly supplied, and support will be limited to the basics, but in most cases with Android devices.. it's fine.

No idea about Apple.

I think it, because it happened, and that's what they told me...
