“You can’t place an order right now as you have an open order”

I’ve signed up to EE broadband. I’m looking at adding a tv package however whenever I go to browse the packages it says that I can’t place an order as I have an open order. I tried to sign up to broadband and TV a few weeks ago but had to cancel and re sign up to broadband as Sky wouldn’t let me leave at that time. Any ideas how I can add EETV?

Hey @astirling, welcome back to the Community!

Like @Profile closed mentioned, it's probably best reaching out to our customer care team with this one.

If your broadband isn't live yet, then adding TV before the order is complete is likely to cause more issues, so it's definitely best to wait then see if this can be added once everything is live.

If it is a ghost in the machine, most likely you will need to get on the phone to see if someone can close the open order or just wait a bit longer for it to auto-close.

Their systems (well, BT), are renown for this issue. If you start something as a process, you have to wait for it to finish or see if someone can sort it manually, which can take just as long.

But, it could simply just be referring to the broadband order not having completed yet. Have you gone live with your switch from Sky?

If not, that is the open order it is referring to, which needs to finish as you cannot order EE TV without EE broadband.
