I have a pre CEC TV that has its own way of communicating with set top boxes. Before I go ahead and sign up to EE, I want to make sure that the box will be compatible. Does anyone know the make and model of the box?
TV is a B&O Avant 55.
Thank you.

The TV Box Pro is a Sagemcom RTIW387.
It'll still work without CEC - you'll just need to use the TV and set top box remotes separately.

Thank you for the information.
Having to use a 2nd remote would be a deal breaker for us.

I've just googled your TV model - it does support CEC, but I guess it's the IR control feature of your TV that you're referring to?
The TV Box Pro supports the standard IR commands that all YouView boxes have supported since it launched in 2012, so it's possible that your 2014 TV may support it. You have a 14 day cool off period if you find it doesn't work, or you don't like it.

Hi.
Thanks for the extra info. Would you mind linking the article you found as I’ve never been able to get CEC working.
The TV has a built in IR blaster that works with Sky currently.
Thanks.

The review here mentions it: https://www.flatpanelshd.com/review.php?subaction=showfull&id=1408435339
From memory I don't believe the TV Box Pro accepts CEC commands, so CEC would only be used for the EE TV remote to control your TV. Given how feature rich your TV is, I'd say your approach of using the IR blaster would be the better one anyway.
