“What’s on TV now” option

Just got EE TV and love the box and how it works.

2 questions though:

1. On the Home Screen it shows “What’s on TV now” which is great but when selected it opens the non-HD channels. Is there a way of changing this so the HD channels are selected?

2. TV guide. The default setting seems to be “All channels”. Can this be changed so that only HD Channels show up?

Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Hi @TractorGirl1981 For the EETV Box Pro - in the Guide whilst there is filter option to select  (filter) HD&Ultra HD you cannot define that as your default when  opening the guide , (ie when you open guide afresh it defaults to all channels).  You do have an ability to  hide channels in the guide by using Edit Channels - so you could opt to hide your unwanted SD channels.

Similarly you have no control on what the Home page displays ,you get what EETV/Youview decide is appropriate. So for example the "Whats on TV Now" they (EETV/Youview)  are providing 10 choices based on the channel numbers in the full EPG (guide) . As currently you are using an aerial feed the channels have the standard Freeview channel numbers which have SD channels in the lowest most prominent places.

EETV/Youview could modify their home page and have done so over the years.

Probably worth pointing out that if you were using the EETV IPmode for the FreetoAir channels rather than the aerial feed then the Ipmode provide the relevant HD versions when available  rather than SD versions in the prominent low numbers of the guide.

Introducing Favourite Channels on Youview Boxes such as the EETV Box Pro is one of many requested options but not provided.

EETV have more options for customisation on the EETV Apple TV.
