Watching Now Tv via the EETV Guide

Got my Full fibre broadband installed today. After a few frustrating hours trying to set everything up i am still having issues with EETV and in particular Now.

I have the Now entertainment package and can view channels through the Now app on my TV, but not if i try to view them through the EETV guide. If for example i try to view Sky Atlantic through the EETV guide (channel 342) the following happens

a message pops up saying “you need to set up Sky Atlantic or add it to your TV package. Press OK for more info”

pressing OK brings up a screen with some general blurb and a button saying “ Get NOW channels on EE TV”.

Clicking that results in an error message “ Sorry there’s been an issue. Try again later, or to order a new package today please call us on 0800 800 150. BTP-19002”

This happens for each NOW channel that i am supposed to be able to view.

How do I “set up” the channels, so i can view them through the EETV guide rather than the app? I shouldn't need to add them to my package as they surely are already part of it. I am not finding the EE app or the Website particularly helpful in solving this issue.

Thank you for your imput so far on this matter. The comparison site I used was "compare the  market.com" it was rhe fibre 2 entertainment package and when you click on the "more details" option  it comes up with a drop down menu basically saying whay the coat of your contract is over the 24months. Then you have an option for broadband, phone and t.v. under the t.v menu it shows you the channels you are going to be getting. Unless I've had an oversight and missed something. That wasn't clear to me.

Have another look at that deal. Is it still the same?

CTM is very tricksy, and won’t offer me deals at my address because I’m already with BT. But I’ve lied about my postcode, and at least got an offer for broadband and TV, though I never did figure how to include phone:-

but I don’t see what you see, and it looks accurate.

However I did look at Full Works, and that went the other way, omitting Now Cinema, even though that should be included.

I don’t know the mechanics of these deals, or whose job it is to get them right, but it all looks a bit flaky…

Sorry my fault. I typed the wrong comparison site in, it was "moneysupermarket.com"

I spoke with BT earlier today and went through the same process and both the standard entertainment bundle and the big entertainment bundle have identical package details on tge drop down menu. The only difference is the price. When I spoke to a Guide they said that they have passed tge information onto their manager. They said I will here something but I'm not holding my breathe. I also tried to bag a month or 2 of free movies due to the discrepancy but the guide said they can't do anything until the manager has looked at this matter. But if you don't ask you don't get.

So between the meerkat undersharing and msm oversharing, they have, on average, got it exactly right 😛

Exactly what I was thinking 😆

I managed to ring EE at a less busy time they were able to fix it at their side within a couple of minutes. All working for me, nothing we can do our side needs completion with EE or this was the case for me.
